Reliance Forest Fibre Plantation Estate
Reliance Forest Fibre (RFF) owns a significant eucalypt plantation estate of approximately 29,000 productive hectares in Tasmania formerly owned by Sustainable Timber Tasmania.
The RFF estate consists mainly of Eucalyptus nitens and Eucalyptus globulus plantations and includes small areas of natural forest.
Sustainability and Certification
The Tasmanian Forest Practices system provides a strong foundation for sustainable forest management in Tasmania.
RFF is currently seeking forest management certification for the RFF estate through the Responsible Wood Certification Scheme to the Australian Standard AS4708, already operating a Group Certification Scheme under the same standard for wood sourced from outside the RFF estate. Global recognition for the Responsible Wood Certification Scheme is afforded by the Program for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), providing global customers with confidence of origin, legality and sustainability for all fibre supplied by RFF.
