Reliance Forest Fibre Plantation Estate
Reliance Forest Fibre’s (RFF) estate covers an area of approx. 65,600ha across Tasmania comprising 49,200 ha of productive Eucalyptus nitens and Eucalyptus globulus plantations and 16,400 ha of natural forest, including non-productive land, (as at June 2022)
Sustainability and Certification
The Tasmanian Forest Practices system provides a strong foundation for sustainable forest management in Tasmania.
Reliance Forest Fibre (RFF) currently manages its estate to the Australian Standard AS4708 for Sustainable Forest Management. This includes operating a Group Certification Scheme under the same standard for wood sourced outside the RFF estate.
Global recognition for the Responsible Wood Certification Scheme is endorsed by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC), providing global customers with confidence of origin, legality and sustainability for all fibre supplied by RFF.
